“秋は、スカジャン” (秋天，橫須賀外套的季節)
本月《Lightning》雜誌特集聚焦「橫須賀外套」(Sukajan)。橫須賀外套正式名稱是紀念外套 (Souvenir Jackets)，起源於二戰結束後的20世紀40年代。當時，銀座一帶遍布服務於駐日美軍的攤位，這種飾有東方刺繡的外套便作為商品出售予他們。事實上，橫須賀外套以作為「唯一起源於日本的洋服」而獨樹一格。它與軍裝外套或傳統外套截然不同，憑藉其獨特結構和設計，逐漸吸引世界注目。本月，我們將從各個角度深掘橫須賀外套 — 介紹愛用者珍藏、基礎知識，最後重點推介知名橫須賀外套品牌Tailor Toyo的新品目錄，以及其他人氣品牌推出的獨特單品。

“For Autumn, the Sukajan”
“This month, Lightning features its first-ever special on "Sukajan". These jackets — officially known as "Souvenir Jackets" — originated in the late 1940s, shortly after the war. In the Ginza area at the time, street stalls catered to U.S. troops stationed in Japan; the jackets, adorned with intricate Oriental-style embroidery, emerged as a popular item for these soldiers. In fact, the Sukajan holds a unique status as the only style of Western-style clothing to originate in Japan. Distinct from military or traditional jackets, the Sukajan has carved out a niche of its own, and its fascinating construction is once again garnering global attention. We delve deep into the world of Sukajan from every angle: examining rare pieces owned by enthusiasts, covering the basics, showcasing the latest catalog from the iconic brand Tailor Toyo, and highlighting unique interpretations from other popular brands.
