It has been loved across generations for its nostalgic appeal — evoking a "good old America" — its casual ease of wear in daily life, and a timeless quality that transcends fleeting trends. In recent years, this momentum has accelerated, making the style popular not only in Japan but around the world. This month, we feature "Amekaji" — a staple topic for Lightning magazine. We break down the style by focusing on four key pillars: "Work" (Born from the job site), "Military" (Evolved on the battlefield), "Sports" (Rooted in athletics and the outdoors), and "Trad" (Inheriting traditional sartorial styles).
