2022 marks the 500th anniversary of the birth of Sen no Rikyū, and will be a milestone for the tea ceremony. The master of tea who brought wabi-cha to fruition still has a great influence. Chanoyu is an art that seeks beauty in the form of everyday life. It was the architect Sutemi Horiguchi who called it the “art of living structure”.
