“京都モダンめぐり” (現代京都之旅)
近年，「現代」一詞在京都越來越受歡迎。京都帝國酒店於2026年3月5日開業，酒店保留了彌榮會館的外觀和歷史風格。彌榮會館是一座現代建築，於昭和初期 (1936年) 建成，已被指定為國家世界文化遺產。酒店室內設計由新素材研究所操刀，由現代美術作家杉本博司和建築師榊田倫之領導，秉持著「舊素材即新材料」概念。作為文化廳遷移京都紀念計畫一部分，「京都現代建築祭」從2022年開始向公眾特別展示京都近代建築，盛況空前。《Casa Brutus》時隔六年再次推出京都特集，主題正是「現代」。我們將探索現代京都，感受這座古都的記憶與現代遺產如何煥發新生，迎接新時代到來！
“Kyoto Modern”
The keyword "modern" has been gaining popularity in Kyoto in recent years. The Imperial Hotel Kyoto, which preserves the exterior and memories of Yasaka Kaikan, a modern building designated a nationally registered tangible cultural property and completed in 1936 during the early Showa period, opened on 5th March 2026. The interior design was created by the New Material Research Laboratory, led by contemporary artist Hiroshi Sugimoto and architect Tomoyuki Sakakida, who uphold the philosophy that "old materials are the newest". The Kyoto Modern Architecture Festival, a special public exhibition of Kyoto's modern architecture, launched in 2022 as part of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Kyoto relocation commemoration project, has also proven popular. Casa Brutus' first Kyoto feature in six years is themed around "modern”. We explore modern Kyoto, which updates the memories of the ancient capital and its modern heritage for the modern era!
