“Expo 2025”
The Osaka-Kansai Expo, which opens in April 2025, is also a festival of architecture. Various architects and designers active both in Japan and abroad are participating in the Expo, including the world's largest wooden building, “the Grand Ring” by Sou Fujimoto, Toyo Ito's Expo Hall, Akihisa Hirata's Expo National Day Hall, Oki Sato's Japan Pavilion, Yuko Nagayama's Women's Pavilion, SANAA's Better Co-Being and Shigeru Ban's Blue Ocean Dome.
