“Heavy Duty Standards
“Heavy Duty Standards”
"Heavy-duty" means different things to different enthusiasts. Some enjoy wearing outdoor or military-style clothing in an urban setting, while others prioritize practicality in the bags and accessories they use every day. Here, we asked six aficionados of clothing and gear to show us their favorite heavy-duty items. The lineup features an impressive group of figures, including Shigeru Kaneko (Beams Plus), Makoto Kimura (Loftman), Masahiko Sakata (Archive & Style) and Terry Ellis (Mogi Folk Art Shop). Through their own words, we explore the diverse ways each individual enjoys the heavy-duty aesthetic — approaches that defy a single, simple definition.
