“Art Trip”
Introducing Japan's 154 best art spots. The islands of Setouchi, where contemporary art and the nature and culture of the region are fused over time. If you haven't visited Naoshima or Teshima yet, you should go this summer. This year, "Setouchi Triennale 2019" will be held, where you can meet many new works. In this issue, Yurina Hirate from Sakurazaka46 visited the art in Setouchi. In addition, there are many notable art spots such as Yoshitomo Nara's “N’s YARD” in Nasushiobara, Kohei Nawa's “Starbucks Coffee Kyoto Bal”, and Christian Boltanski's large retrospective exhibition. It is also exciting to embark on a journey to deepen the understanding of each artist around these. This summer, we will deliver the latest guide to enjoy visiting art from all over Japan.
