Architecture is the largest of all man-made objects, and is like a mass of science and technology. By surrounding this science and technology with nature, we want to harmonize architecture and nature — says Terunobu Fujimori, who has created a number of buildings that give off a presence that resembles nature itself. The latest architecture, Kodomari Fuji, is built on a small hill in the countryside overlooking Mt. Yatsugatake and Mt. Fuji, and is a small inn that accommodates only one group per day and is in harmony with the surrounding nature on a large scale. New works by star architects are also full of masterpieces that dynamically draw in nature.
