日本皮革工房Leather Factory Roberu
以全人手製作高質皮革用品享負盛名的皮革工房，發源於日本橫濱的Roberu，由設計師岩元慎治 (Shinji Iwamoto) 於2007年創立。一直堅持全部製品均以全人手製作，使用天然染色皮革，每件製品亦貫注了工匠的靈魂，擁有極高的質量，是近年極具代表性的日本手造皮革配件品牌。包括巴黎Colette等各地有名商店爭相引入，短短數年間已得到世界時尚舞台的注目。曾與Lexus、Sony等國際品牌合作推出特別版產品包括皮袋及相機帶，亦於新宿伊勢丹開設期間限定店。
Roberu名字來自「Road」、「Beach」及「Runner」三個英文字，「在海灘上無拘無束的向著前方奔跑」是設計師岩元慎治先生腦海中的一幅熱血畫面，同時他亦期望品牌能以這個不斷向前的狀態成長。Roberu的目標，是希望製作出融合「設計」、「功能」與「生活」三個元素的製品，讓顧客們可以輕鬆愉悅的在日常生活裡享用，讓自己的生活風格與皮革製品產生互動，長時間使用下，令皮革品產生紋理與色彩變化，進化成世界上獨一無二的裝備。
首度受注目 – Roberu相機帶及保護套
Roberu成立初期收到東京一家相機店委託設計皮革相機帶，帶來品牌發展的跳升點。以用家角度出發，使用極優質的天然染色皮革，令Roberu相機帶及相機保護套表現出前所未有的面貎，給顧客們帶來極大新鮮感，為Roberu的成長建立起很重要的基石。除了皮革以外，Roberu亦嘗試以不同物料如羊毛、帆布及麻質製作相機帶，在顏色及物料運用上，再一步突破相機帶一向的沉悶框架。
風靡全球 – Roberu iPhone保護套
後來因為Roberu各成員都使用iPhone，但有感市面上的保護套都不合口味，由iPhone 3G開始，便製作iPhone專用保護套至今。利用皮革及彈性布料結合，人手製作帶來極具人味的暖和感覺，卻同時能保存極高保護性。最重要是皮革在每天使用下，呼應使用者的生活習慣會產生紋理及顏色變化，變得極具個性，與坊間常見的硬體保護套截然不同，故推出以來得到極大支持，長期供不應求的Roberu iPhone保護套成為品牌另一焦點產品。推出的iPad Mini Case及iPad Mini Clutch則成為極受女生歡迎的產品。
日常生活配件 – Roberu Ground系列
待發展成熟，Roberu逐漸將生產線擴展至更大層面，開拓Ground Series分支系列，推出如卡片套、大型手挽袋子及皮鞋等產物，進一步把全人手製作精神融入日常生活配件中。2016年Roberu Limited Project開動。

About Leather Factory Roberu
Founded in 2007 by designer Shinji Iwamoto, Roberu got its start in Yokohama, Japan, and has now grown to become a leather factory well known for it's high quality leather products. Keeping up with traditions of fine craftsmanship, all Roberu leather goods are handmade and naturally dyed, making each piece truly unique and carrying with it the heart and soul of its maker. The brand has been called one of the most promising Japanese leather brands in recent years, and is sold out of Colette Paris, France among other fine retailers. In it's brief existence, Roberu has already captured the attention of the international stage, with collaboration and partnerships with well-known brands such as Lexus and Sony. They have also opened a pop up outlet in Isetan Shinjuku, Japan.
The word Roberu is made up from the words "road", "beach", and "runner", together they form a scene of a person running on a beach without a care in the world. It is through this glorious vision that inspired designer and founder Mr. Shinji Iwamoto to form the brand, and to keep in line with this image, he hopes Roberu continues to grow and forge ahead. Roberu's aim has always been to create products that integrate design, function, and lifestyle. Not only allowing users to easily fit these items into their daily lives, but at the same time play off it as well. With prolonged usage, the leather on Roberu products will start to show unique creases and rich color changes that reflect on its user, making it a unique accessory to life.
Their First Hit – The Roberu Camera Strap and Holder
In its early years, a well-known Tokyo camera store reached out to Roberu to design a special leather camera strap for them, this item would prove to be a hit and introduced many to the brand. Looking at this item now, it is not hard to see the reason for its popularity, made with high quality natural dye leather that evolves according to its users practices; this sort of attention towards the user is what became the cornerstone of the brand. Outside leather, Roberu has also experimented with different colors and materials such as wool, canvas, and hemp, which separate it from the usual run-of-the-mill camera straps and holders.
International Darling – Roberu iPhone Case
Everyone working at Roberu used the Apple iPhone, yet there was nothing on the market in terms of protection cases that could satisfy their needs. Therefore ever since the release of the iPhone 3G, Roberu has made their own version of this essential modern day accessory.
